If you drag and drop the bean somewhere, the code that is generated looks like here: Date getDate Returns the date. Fires the property change "date" if date!

Add the sources to yours and use the classes like in JCalendarDemo. This is a must have component in your "Only IDE" if you are really into development. Due to popup handling it had to register a change listener to the default menu selection manager which will jdatechposer unregistered here. Updates the date editor and closes the popup.
